Bright Hope International
Nearly 30 orphan girls (age 3-17) in this Kenyan community were sleeping in a crowded classroom because they had no home! So, in partnership with Bright Hope International, we’re building a dorm so these girls and others like them can live with caring adults, eat good meals, and experience “family.” Our gift not only built a dorm, it also purchased 10 acres of land so they can grow their own food.

Hope for Life Center - Kenya
In partnership with a suburban Chicago church (Wheaton Bible Church), Kids Caring 4 Kids supplied funds to build a community center in this region swelling with AIDS orphans. The center was begun by a Kenyan woman whose heart broke because of the overwhelming need for orphan care in her community. Every day, over 120 AIDS orphans children receive meals, homework help, skill training, and love.

Kerus Global Education
Kerus Global Education. “Kerus” in Greek means to “do something with passion.” And the passion of this organization is character development and prevention of HIV/AIDS. The two women who founded Kerus, both with doctorates, are leading spokespersons worldwide on HIV/AIDS. KC4K funds have helped build and outfit the new Kerus Orphan Care Center in Soshanguve, South Africa that eventually will serve about 100 children daily.

Touch A Life Foundation
One of the heartbreaking effects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic is the use of children as laborers. Touch A Life Foundation rescues children from this plight. KC4K is partnering with Touch A Life to care for rescued children in Ghana—providing them with daily needs of food, shelter, education, and health care.

World Bicycle Relief
If kids can’t get to school, they can’t get an education and get ahead in life. So in Zambia, KC4K is working with World Bicycle Relief to provide specially built bikes to African students who live far from school. This money provided scores of bikes for students and trains bike mechanics. Many of these bikes go to girls. That’s because they’re the ones who usually carry water and do chores, so they often don’t have time to walk miles to school.

World Vision
None of us can imagine drinking dirty water, but that’s commonplace in many parts of Africa. So we’re working with World Vision to drill boreholes and teach hygiene in communities where they desperately need clean water. Right now, kids and adults living there walk miles to find water. When they do find water, it’s often contaminated and makes them sick.
